Two men have pleaded guilty in the 2014 killing of Imani, who was reported to be rapper Wiz Khalifa’s uncle. According to the Daily Mail, 21 year old Michael and 19 year old Jaron entered their guilty pleas in a Pittsburgh court on Friday in the shooting death of 20 year old Imani.
Reports say Imani was shot while in a car in the parking lot of a Steak n Shake at The Waterfront mall in Pittsburgh and was later pronounced dead at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. A witness said he was in the driver’s seat with Imani in the passenger seat when the two defendants approached. A police detective testified that Jaron told him the gun went off accidentally when Imani tried to brush it away.
Michael was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison, and Jaron received 12 and a half to 25 years.
