Virginia Officers Suspended

In the weeks following the Capitol siege, firings and arrests have been taking place left and right. Most recently, two police officers from Rocky Mount, VA, have been suspended from their duties.

Thomas Robertson and Jacob Fracker have been temporarily relieved from their duties, without pay, following their involvement on Jan. 6.

Fracker, a corporal in the Virginia National Guard, is the “first known active military service member charged in the assault on the halls of Congress,” CNBC reported.

Both Fracker and Robertson were seen posing for a selfie inside the Capitol during the invasion. Off-duty Rocky Mount Police Officer Jacob Fracker bragged to a friend on Facebook that he “pissed in Nancy P’s toilet” during the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol.

According to Wavy, Rocky Mount Police Department has received a great deal of pressure from community members to take further action against the duo.

“This action is part of our ongoing cooperation with the federal investigation into the presence of both men at the Washington, D.C. Capitol building on January 6. We are fully aware of the serious nature of the information contained in the federal arrest warrants and are continuing to assist with federal agents as they investigate this matter,” added the Town of Rocky Mount.

Jacob Fracker and Thomas Robertson were both arrested during the week of January 10 and charged with one count each of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and one count each of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
