As the legal custody battle between Tyrese and his ex-wife continues, his ex, Norma, is looking to block the singer’s attempt to gain primary custody.
Back in June, according to The Blast, Tyrese filed court docs to petition for primary custody of their daughter, Shayla, and ask for permission to move her to Atlanta to live with him full time.
Since then, Norma has fired back with documents of her own, in an effort to prove it’s in their daughter’s best interest to stay with her in Los Angeles.
According to the docs obtained by the publication, Norma says her ex is trying to have her daughter’s “life completely disrupted” for his own “selfish reasons.” She says, with Tyrese’s busy Hollywood schedule he’d have no time to raise his own daughter, instead, she claims Shayla would be raised by her nanny and step-mother.
Norma also claimed to have “serious concerns as to [Tyrese’s] anger issues and mental health, exhibited by many puzzling videos he has posted,” referencing the singer’s social media meltdown over their daughter.
She also makes mention of her and her daughter’s allegations of abuse to further prove her point. However, a judge has yet to make a decision.
