A Texas woman who posted online about going into the U.S. Capitol during last week’s riot has been arrested by the FBI, according to news reports.
Jenny, who owns a flower shop in Midland, Texas, was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly entering the Capitol as lawmakers met to certify Joe Biden’s election win. Reports say she posted videos online saying she and others went through doors and into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office area.
Jenny later said she took part in the event but did not vandalize or damage anything. After her posts spread, she faced heavy criticism online, and her business reportedly received angry messages and a flood of negative reviews. She has since shut down her Facebook page.
Local viewers may know her as a 2019 candidate for mayor of Midland. KOSA reported that she stands by her actions that day.
An arrest is not a conviction, and Jenny has not been found guilty of anything at this time.
