The Game is facing an LAPD investigation after a pickup basketball game in Hollywood over the weekend, according to reports at the time.
An off duty officer, described as a 27 year old rookie with the LAPD, says the rapper punched him during the game. His name has not been released. The officer and a fellow player reportedly claim The Game threatened them after the game got heated. The Game reportedly tells it differently and says the officer threatened to go into his gym bag for a gun. None of these claims have been proven.
The Game reportedly planned to turn himself in to authorities, though it was not clear whether he did. LAPD is looking into the incident, and it is unclear whether the officer plans to pursue the matter further.
