The lawsuit against Usher has grown. Last week, a woman identified as Jane Doe filed a $10 million suit accusing the singer of exposing her to herpes. This week, according to updated claims, she has raised her demand to $20 million.
According to the filing, Jane Doe says she was intimate with Usher in April and again about twelve days later. She alleges that after seeing reports about Usher online, she got tested. She now says her results came back positive over the weekend and that she is devastated.
The higher amount reportedly covers emotional harm, medical bills and punitive damages. She also says she would not have been intimate with Usher had she known of any diagnosis.
Usher has not publicly responded to the lawsuit at the time of this post. These are claims made in a civil complaint and have not been proven in court. We will update you if he or his team responds.
