The woman whose lawsuit against Usher was dismissed is now taking legal action against several insurance companies.
According to TMZ, Laura alleges that an insurance broker representing three companies exposed her medical records. She says her insurance application, which included sensitive health information, ended up posted on a blog.
The claim says the agent took screenshots of the application and shared them with the outlet, which published its post around August of last year. Laura is reportedly suing United Healthcare, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, and Golden Rule Insurance Company.
TMZ also reports that she plans to sue the unnamed blog for defamation, saying it falsely claimed she committed fraud on her application.
These are Laura’s allegations as reported by TMZ. Responses from the insurance companies and the blog were not included in that report.
