A woman suing Usher over an alleged herpes transmission says she believes the singer is moving his assets so they cannot be collected if she wins. The woman, identified in court filings only as Jane Doe, is seeking $20 million.
Jane Doe claims Usher is transferring money to other people so it cannot be touched if he loses the case. She has not offered proof, and says only that she suspects it is happening.
Her attorney, Lisa West, also pointed to the fact that Usher got the lawsuit delayed by 90 days. West suggested the delay could give him time to hide assets before the discovery phase, when financial records would be disclosed.
According to TMZ, sources connected to Usher say the claims are “nonsense.” The allegations in the lawsuit have not been proven.
