Valentino Shows Off New "Toile Iconographe" Logo with 2022 Collection

Valentino New "Toile Iconographe" Logo (Valentino)

Valentino remains to shake up the fashion industry, and this time it’s doing so by introducing a new logo in the latest collection.

The new logo is a continuation of the original “VD” logo but used in a repeated pattern. The luxury brand says, “Ongoing graphic motifs emphasize Valentino Toile Iconographe contemporary items, inspired by seventies. Valentino Toile Iconographe is born, the canvas is iconographic: the image is everything. The logo becomes everything. Obsessive and exaggerated, both liberating and unique. Original and elegant indelible sign of our times and of our contradictions – actions.”

The 2022 collection reimagines the logo through bucket hats, scarves, shopping bags, boots, and even the model’s faces during the photoshoot.

The brand continues, “Valentino Toile Iconographe is born, the canvas is iconographic: the image is everything. The logo becomes everything. Obsessive and exaggerated, both liberating and unique. Original and elegant indelible sign of our times and of our contradictions – actions. Logo as icon of our choices, even the most intimate.”

Though the print may look new to many, it first appeared in Valentino’s Spring/Summer collection in 1968.

Valentino took to Instagram on Friday, showing the newest prints.

“#ValentinoToileIconographe: the new, hypnotic print. It’s an entrancing and energetic world for @pppiccioli’s latest campaign, shot by #StevenMeisel.”

Described as “Obsessive and exaggerated; a universal symbol sent into infinite repetition,” the full line can be found on Valentino’s online boutique.
