Venus Williams has launched the Grand Slam collection, a Venus Williams furniture and home decor line built with Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids that officially dropped on September 15. The collection spans nearly 200 pieces across furniture, lighting, textiles, and decor for both adult and kids’ spaces.

The whole home side of the collection draws from the visual language of tennis, pulling in the sport’s geometry, movement, color and sense of ceremony. Williams paired that with an Italian design sensibility she leaned into directly, traveling to Milan with the Crate & Barrel team to source marble, stone and other materials used throughout the line.
Williams isn’t new to this world. She’s been running her own interior design firm, V Starr Interiors, since 2002, handling everything from residential builds to commercial spaces like the Tennis Lounge at Chicago’s Midtown Athletic Club. That two-decade design career is exactly what makes this Crate & Barrel partnership track, and the finished product backs it up.
The tennis nods throughout the Venus Williams furniture collection are subtle rather than literal. A pleated lampshade design in the Crate & Kids line references the movement of a tennis skirt, and the standout piece in the whole home collection, the Second Serve Stone and Metal Chandelier, is built around the trajectory of a tennis ball at the moment of a serve toss. That chandelier is made from a mix of burnished brass, onyx, and travertine.
Color plays its own role in tying the collection back to the sport. A Ficus Green Throw Pillow Cover leans into a literal tennis-court green, while a Classic Cable Knit Wool Blend Stripe Throw Blanket comes in an Arctic Ivory and Olive Green colorway that reads closer to tennis whites, alongside a moodier camel tan option.
On the Crate & Kids side, Williams focused on bringing sophistication into children’s spaces without losing the playfulness kids actually want. The Alley Wood and Terrazzo Kids Desk shows that balance clearly, pairing a warm wood frame with a green terrazzo surface that reads more grown-up than most kids’ furniture while still keeping color and personality front and center. The kids’ lighting stands out too, including a Varsity Pleated Kids Flush Mount Ceiling Light, and the line includes tennis-inspired framed wall art meant for a sporty kid’s bedroom.
Pricing across the Venus Williams furniture collection ranges widely. A Winner Kent Pine Velvet Upholstered Twin Kids Bed runs $999, a marble table lamp sells for $699, and smaller accessories like taper holders start around $60.
Williams spoke about the collection’s overall philosophy in a statement, saying she’s always believed that great design should feel timeless. She also spoke specifically to the Crate & Kids line, calling it the bedroom of my dreams and emphasizing how important it was for kids to feel proud of their own spaces.
Alicia Waters, brand president of Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids, praised Williams’s range across industries in her own statement, saying Venus embodies the intersection of power, style, and design.
