TMZ reports that a man who was wounded in the shooting that killed Nipsey Hussle has been arrested on an alleged parole violation.
According to TMZ, police arrested the man, Kerry, 56, at his halfway house for reportedly associating with a “known gang member.” Nipsey was fatally shot on March 31 at the age of 33. TMZ reports that one of the standard conditions of parole is not associating with known gang members, and that police claim Nipsey was a member of the Rollin 60’s Crips, a past the rapper spoke about openly himself.
Kerry was shot in the back during the attack, taken to the hospital, treated and released. TMZ reports he is temporarily in a wheelchair because of his injuries. He is now being held at Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles while authorities try to revoke his parole, according to the outlet.
Baller Alert has not independently confirmed the arrest, and no statement from Kerry was included in the report. Nipsey’s memorial service was held Thursday, April 11, with an estimated 20,000 people in attendance.
