Attorneys have been hired to look into an alleged sexual assault that was streamed on Facebook Live and spread quickly online.
Jasmine was at Opera Nightclub in Atlanta when viewers of her Facebook Live stream reportedly saw the alleged assault take place inside the club. The video went viral, and the incident was turned over to law enforcement, according to reports at the time.
Attorneys L. Chris Stewart and Joshua Palmer of Stewart Trial Attorneys announced that they have been brought on to conduct an independent investigation on Jasmine’s behalf. Stewart’s firm has handled high profile civil rights cases, including the police shooting death of Walter Scott in North Charleston.
In a statement, the firm said Jasmine will make a public address to the media “in the coming days.” The allegations have not been tested in court.
