Vivica A. Fox Says “Don’t Date Rappers” — 50 Cent Fires Back 22 Years After Their Brief Romance [Video]

Vivica A. Fox and 50 Cent

Vivica A. Fox didn’t hold back at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in Edison, New Jersey, when it came to 50 Cent.

During a panel over the weekend, when asked about chasing dreams, Fox threw in some advice most people didn’t see coming: stay away from rappers. And yes, that includes her ex.

“Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers,” she said as the crowd went wild. She shrugged and added, “Facts! Took me years to be able to laugh about it. Had to learn to laugh, not cry no more, but I did it.”

Of course, 50 Cent couldn’t resist responding. On Instagram, he shared an AI photo of himself holding a red and blue pill. In the caption, he playfully wrote, “Either way I’m a have that a** in the matrix, you know I love me some you girl, but Damn it’s been 22 years Vivica.”

For some context, the two briefly dated after the 2003 BET Awards but ended things just three months later. Since then, their relationship has popped up in headlines multiple times, thanks to public disagreements. Back in 2023, 50 Cent called out Fox for directing a BET+ biopic based on Tonesha Welch, who is considered the First Lady of BMF.

Today, the two appear to be in a playful space, able to reflect on their relationship in a cordial way.
