"RHOP" Star Dr. Wendy Osefo and Husband Eddie to Face Separate Trials in $400K Fraud Case

Dr. Wendy Osefo and husband Eddie

Dr. Wendy Osefo and husband Eddie are coming out swinging. Following explosive allegations that the “Real Housewives of Potomac” couple possessed around 40 credit and debit cards and used fake names to hide their identity, the Osefos are firmly denying the claims and accusing law enforcement of bias and unfair treatment.

In a statement, their legal team says, “The Osefos have never used an alias on any financial application; this allegation is false and misleading. Such names were used for the delivery of packages, following their lawful purchase, to safeguard the identity of very public figures.”

The couple also blasts prosecutors for exposing their financial information while still investigating the case, calling it “deeply unjust” and a clear attempt to sway public opinion. They argue that police remained silent for over 18 months despite full cooperation and are now pushing a “false narrative” after filing charges without fully completing the investigation.

“What is most disturbing is that the State appears to have begun investigating only after charging the Osefos, which is a highly irregular approach that raises serious concerns about motive and fairness,” their attorneys state.

At the heart of the case is a reported burglary at the couple’s Maryland home, which prosecutors now allege was staged for insurance money. The Osefos were arrested last month and charged with multiple counts of insurance fraud, conspiracy, and making false statements.
