Wendy Williams’ health challenges have taken a troubling turn, as a new court filing from her legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, reveals that the former talk show host is now “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and incapacitated.”

The filing is tied to the release of Where Is Wendy Williams?, a documentary that Morrissey claims exploited Williams’ declining mental state.

The lawsuit names multiple defendants, including A&E, Lifetime, and executive producer Mark Ford, accusing them of taking advantage of Williams during a vulnerable time.

The suit alleges the filmmakers “manipulated and goaded” Williams to provoke emotional reactions and capture embarrassing footage. Morrissey is asking the court to redact private details about Williams’ health, finances, and family from the film.

The defense, however, argues Williams consented to the project before her dementia diagnosis in 2023. She was previously diagnosed with primary aggressive aphasia and placed under guardianship in 2022.
