A source says daytime talk show host Wendy Williams‘s “health is improving.”

Earlier in September, the 57-year-old gossip queen revealed she caught COVID-19. In response, the show delayed its new season premiere from its initial Sept. 20 premiere to Oct. 4. In addition to contracting COVID-19, Williams has been battling other health issues, but a source close to Williams says she is better with each day.

“Wendy is home and improving every day,” the source told Entertainment Tonight.

The show also released a statement regarding her departure amid her COVID-19 positive test. “To allow Wendy time to quarantine and fully recover and to ensure that our production abides by the SAG/AFTRA and DGA Covid protocols, we expect to begin the 13th season of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, Oct. 4,” read the statement. It added that “in the meantime, repeats will be scheduled.”

Aside from COVID-19-related health issues, Williams is still struggling “with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations.” At one point, the star was voluntarily hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation, ET reports.

The news outlet spoke with Williams’s brother, who said she is in stable condition. “I did speak with Wendy; she’s stabilized, she’s doing alright. You know, I can’t give all the blow by blows. I told her I’ll never proceed her voice through the show,” he said. “But I do thank you all for all the kind words. I really do believe and have the faith that Wendy’s going to make it.”

“It’s not an easy fight. It’s not one that individuals always win. Sadly, come November, we are on the anniversary of my mother passing. It’s not easy. This isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. But she’s doing well; she’s stable. I have spoken with her. We are hanging in there,” he said.
