Whoopi Goldberg responds to rumors regarding her sexuality after Raven-Symoné said she gives off “lesbian vibes.”
On Sunday, the 67-year-old actress joined Raven’s “The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda.” During the conversation, Raven mentioned that she believes Goldberg is a lesbian, which she denied.
“Women have been asking me this for as long as I’ve been around, I am not a lesbian,” Goldberg said. “But I know lots of them, and I’ve played them on television.”
Goldberg further mentioned that she has had to establish boundaries in her relationships with numerous lesbian friends in the past.
“I’ll tell them, ‘I’m not gonna kiss you, but I’ll kiss you over here, I’ll do this, but I’m not going to do this’ … and they’re like, ‘OK!’” she explained.
Additionally, Raven explained her own attraction towards her former co-host.
“Honestly, when I was around you, I loved you so much, like, I just wanted to be up underneath the t*tty the whole time,” Raven confessed. “But that’s also because you just kind of gave me lesbian vibes!”
Earlier this week, the actress who has experienced three marriages, openly acknowledged on an episode of “The View” that with each divorce, she found herself “dancing and prancing.” She clarified that by her third unsuccessful marriage, the process had become “expensive and boring.” Goldberg’s initial marriage was with drug counselor Alvin Martin in 1973 but later divorced six years later. In 1986, Goldberg entered into marriage with Dutch cinematographer David Claessen. But their relationship came to an end in 1988. She then tied the knot with actor Lyle Trachtenberg in 1994, but their marriage ended in divorce a year later.
