The custody fight between actor Darius McCrary and his wife, Tammy, is back in the news after new court documents obtained by The Blast.
Last year, Tammy filed a restraining order against the “Family Matters” star, accusing him of abusing their young daughter. McCrary denied those allegations. Since then, the two have been in a legal battle over custody and child support, and McCrary was ordered to have court appointed monitored visits with their daughter.
In the new filing, Tammy accuses McCrary of violating the terms of the restraining order and the custody agreement. According to the documents, she says McCrary went on the radio and stated that she had been coaching their two year old daughter to say that her father hurt her. Tammy denies that.
She also says she has evidence that supports her claims, and attached medical records from a March 2018 incident in which she says McCrary partially dislocated the child’s arm. According to the filing, she told officials that McCrary took the baby into a bathroom and grabbed her arm. McCrary’s account of that incident was that he grabbed one of her hands to lift her up and immediately grabbed the other. Reports at the time said the child was treated and handled it well.
Tammy further claims in the filing that McCrary showed up to a recent monitored visit with another child and skipped court ordered co parenting classes. McCrary has denied the earlier abuse allegations, and these new claims are allegations made in a court filing that had not been decided by a court.
