Wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas sent well wishes and support for the violent MAGA protestors on Wednesday.
Ginni Thomas took to Twitter to endorse the protest in the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday that claimed five people’s lives, including a Capitol police officer. In one tweet, she retweeted an article that covered the MAGA crowd. In a separate tweet, she wrote, “God bless each of you standing up or praying.” She later wrote “[Note: written before the violence in U.S. Capitol],” though her tweets and Twitter profile had been wiped from the platform as of Friday. However, screenshots of her comments continue to circulate.

Thomas has been a long time supporter of Donald Trump during his presidency. The conservative lobbyist frequently posts pro-Trump conspiracy theories on her Facebook page. In recent months, Ginni reportedly posted false corruption claims against president-elect Joe Biden and former president Barack Obama.
Neither Ginni nor her husband, who is the second African-American to serve on the Supreme Court, have commented on her tweets endorsing the violence earlier this week.
