Wife of Redskins General Manager Accuses ESPN Reporter of Being Her Husband’s Sidechick – blogged by @LoveRubyWoo

As if there wasn’t already enough drama surrounding the Washington Redskins this week, the wife of Redskins’ general manager Scot McCloughan decided she wanted to join in on the fun too. On Sunday, Jessica McCloughan raised eyebrows when she tweeted a pretty harsh message at ESPN reporter Dianna Russini. Russini, who was formerly a reporter for NBC in Washington, had reported on her Twitter account about the possible Redskins quarterback change, which was later confirmed the next day. In response, McCloughan retorted, “Please tell us how many BJ’s you had to give to get this story. And did they laugh at you before or after?”

What could be the reason for Mrs. McCloughan’s sudden attack on Ms. Russini? Well, this actually wasn’t the first time that she had accused Russini of handing out sexual favors in exchange for information. In fact, on August 13th, McCloughan sent out another tweet to the ESPN anchor that accused her of not only sleeping with people in the Redskins organization for info, but specifically, sleeping with her husband.

After the most recent tweet, which was sent out this past Sunday, went viral, McCloughan deleted her account.

At first, the Redskins tried to do damage control by claiming that the tweets came from a fake account and it wasn’t McCloughan’s real account. However, on Wednesday, she came forward and admitted that it was indeed her who had a case of the Twitter fingers. She tried to save face with an apology that she issued through the team but it was too late…the damage had already been done.

ESPN threw in their two cents on the situation and defended their employee, saying, “Dianna is an excellent reporter who should never have to be subjected to such vulgar comments. We are obviously extremely disappointed by today’s developments.”

I wonder if there’s any truth to Jessica’s accusations or if she’s just been hitting the bottle a little too hard.
