Former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart has filed for divorce from his wife, Porsha Williams of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, according to TMZ. Court papers reportedly describe the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”
ABC News reported that Stewart filed on March 22, 2013, roughly two years after the couple married in 2011. Stewart said the two had been separated. In the filing, he also reportedly asked the court not to order spousal support, arguing that Porsha is able to support herself.
A representative for Porsha said she was blindsided and learned about the filing through the media. Porsha thanked fans on Twitter for their prayers.
