The Remy Ma Claressa Shields back and forth took over X overnight, and it ended with Remy telling Papoose to sign the divorce papers while Claressa fired back that he is the one who filed for divorce in the first place.
It started with five words. Claressa posted “Been laughing 🤣 all day” and Remy came into the replies swinging. “U been CRYING the past 20 months,” Remy wrote, “mad cuz LEGALLY I’m still the wife …BITCH ME TOO!” She told Papoose to sign the papers, called Claressa a “slow [expletive] crackbaby,” and said the two of them were out in the New York streets and staying in a hotel because they were scared she would pull up again. She tagged it #FreeRemy.
Claressa did not let that sit for a minute. She told Remy she was under her post pressed like she has been for two years, asked her who she has ever actually pulled up on, and said “[expletive] you are jokes.” Then she went for the throat. She said Remy is going through a mid life crisis, accused her of cheating on Papoose with Eazy The Block Captain, and closed the post with a hashtag calling Remy a coke head. None of those accusations have been verified and Remy has denied cheating in the past, but Claressa put it in writing anyway.

Then the part that actually moves the story. Remy posted that she laughs when she hears Claressa lie, said Claressa had been in her DMs from January 2020 to 2024, called her a weirdo, and said she tried to help her. “I’ll address that in detail eventually too,” Remy wrote. That is a receipts threat, and she left it sitting there unopened.
The rest of the timeline did what the timeline does. One account with a blue check, RapGirlsRock, wrote a full essay telling Claressa to stop throwing “your man your man your man” in Remy’s face because Remy wants to be done and Papoose is the one staying attached. The same post said if he wanted Claressa like that, he would have signed the papers already, and accused Claressa of being in Remy’s DMs the whole time while plotting on a married couple. Claressa replied with four laughing emojis and “I can’t post my man.”
Another commenter, Arianna Carrington, said she does not see Papoose divorcing Remy at all and wants to see how much laughing Claressa does when he refuses to sign. Claressa told her she was dumb because he is the one who filed, not Remy, and added “She still want him!” Somebody else said Remy has bot accounts attacking Claressa while pretending to be fans, and Claressa quoted it with “This been going on for 2 years smh.”
She closed the night the way she always closes it. Photos. Claressa posted two pictures of her and Papoose in matching denim in New York, quoted her own post, and wrote that Papoose knows she is fine and she was about to go sleep peacefully at his house like she always does. Good night. Then a few minutes later, one more post: “Laughing some more 🤣🤣 whooo !!!! Pressed!!!!!!”
Here is what is actually true underneath all of it. Papoose filed for divorce from Remy Ma in May 2025. They married in 2008 while she was incarcerated and had the televised ceremony in 2016. They share a daughter, Reminisce Mackenzie. Claressa and Papoose went public in late 2024. As of today, there is no public confirmation that the divorce has been finalized, which is the whole reason Remy can post “LEGALLY I’m still the wife” and have it land.
So the Remy Ma Claressa Shields argument keeps circling the same two facts that do not cancel each other out. Papoose filed. The divorce is not done. Claressa reads that as proof he chose her. Remy reads it as proof he has not let go. And a whole lot of people in the replies read it as a man who has managed to be at the center of this for going on two years without posting a word.
