Another woman has come forward with allegations against media mogul Russell Simmons, and this time she has filed a lawsuit demanding $10 million.
According to TMZ, the woman is suing under the name Jane Doe. She claims she was chaperoning her young son at a hip hop concert when Simmons invited her backstage to meet the talent, and she agreed.
The suit, as reported by TMZ, says Simmons then invited her to party at the Clarion Hotel in the Los Angeles area. The woman says she met him there after dropping her son off, and that the two spent time at the hotel bar and nightclub before he brought her up to his room.
Doe alleges that once they were in the room, Simmons threatened her and her son and then sexually assaulted her. She also claims at least one witness saw her leave his room. The suit does not make clear when the alleged incident took place.
TMZ reports that Simmons denies the allegations. These are claims made in a civil complaint, and nothing in it has been proven in court.
