On Sunday, US Capitol Police said that a woman was arrested in Washington, DC, after attempting to pass a police barricade while flashing a military challenge coin and claiming to be a member of Trump’s cabinet and law enforcement.

The Hill obtained an arrest report that said that 63-year-old Linda Magovern told officers at the Columbus Circle checkpoint that she was “a part of the presidential cabinet” while providing a military police change coin.

The checkpoint was one of many set up around Washington, D.C., to restrict access to areas near this week’s presidential inauguration.

According to the report, Magovern then continued to drive around Columbus Circle and was stopped near Union Station again. She was then arrested on suspicion of falsely imitating a police officer, failing to follow the police, and escaping from the police.

Downtown Washington has been practically shut down for days because of security fears regarding President-elect Joe Biden‘s inauguration after the violent riot at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month. Five people died, including a Capitol Police officer, while another officer who responded to the scene died several days later.

Magovern’s arrest comes a few days after a Virginia man was found to have an unregistered firearm and hundreds of ammunition rounds near an inauguration security checkpoint on Friday.
