A second person has been charged in the 2019 shooting death of a six year old Cleveland girl, according to reports from PEOPLE and Cleveland.com.
Angel, 22, faces one count of aggravated murder and has pleaded not guilty. Her bond was set at $250,000. Authorities announced Tuesday that she was allegedly the driver of the vehicle during the drive by shooting.
On October 5, 2019, six year old Lyric was sleeping on a mattress in the living room with five other girls when about 22 shots were fired into the home. Authorities told Cleveland.com the house was targeted to intimidate a man who had survived a shooting two weeks earlier. That man had lived with the family but had moved out before the shooting.
Lyric’s aunt told 19 News that the family would not have had the children in the house had they known their safety was at risk.
Raysean, 21, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals a month after the shooting. He was reportedly found hiding in the attic of his father’s home in Tennessee. He has also pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to stand trial in April.
Charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
