A woman has been extradited from Australia to California to face charges in a fatal hit and run, Fox News reports.
Police say Andrea, now 35, was involved in a crash on January 30, 2017, that killed a 46 year old man named Agustin who was riding his bicycle near Calmada Avenue and Flomar Drive in Whittier. According to KTLA, police report that he was dragged under the car for roughly 500 to 800 feet, and his body was found about two blocks away on Dittmar Drive.
Investigators say that soon after the crash, Andrea left the U.S. for Hong Kong. Whittier police and the FBI issued an international arrest warrant. The FBI later learned she had moved to Australia, where she was taken into custody with help from Australian law enforcement.
KTLA reports she was flown back to Southern California after a long extradition process, landed Thursday morning and was transported to Whittier police. She is expected to be charged with two felonies, hit and run and vehicular manslaughter.
Police say the driver was in a white Lexus sedan. According to a police release, she was identified through information received by the department’s Traffic Bureau. Police recovered the Lexus in a residential garage in Idaho and gathered additional evidence in Nevada.
She has not been convicted, and the case is still pending.

Thanks for writing up on this case. Agustin was my uncle and we have been waiting for some form of justice and her being brought back to the states and having her bail revoked on 11/3/2020 at her bail hearing were the first steps in the right direction. Still have a long way to go.
