A woman named Jamila has filed a lawsuit against comedian Katt Williams, according to Page Six. The suit accuses Williams of battery, false imprisonment and emotional distress. These are allegations in a civil complaint, and none of them have been proven.
According to the complaint as reported by Page Six, Jamila says the incident happened about two years ago at Williams’ home, where she says five other women were present. She claims she used the bathroom and that Williams told her no one uses his bathroom. She alleges she was then beaten by the women for roughly three hours and lost consciousness more than once. She also alleges that Williams burned her face with a cigarette.
The lawsuit also describes what Jamila characterizes as a spell book and items being fed into a fire during the alleged incident. According to the filing, she left around 1:30 in the morning and did not call 911 because she feared retaliation.
Page Six noted that the timeline is part of what makes the claims stand out, since the alleged incident is said to have happened two years before the suit was filed. We did not see a response from Williams in the coverage available at the time of this report. This is the latest in a string of legal headlines involving the comedian in recent weeks, and we will wait to see how the case plays out in court.
