A woman named Malika has accused Ian Connor of sexual assault in an open letter published on her personal blog. In the letter, she wrote that the incident happened in October 2014 after the two had met through social media and spent time together on a few occasions. She said she decided to speak publicly now that she felt ready to tell her story. We are not repeating the details of her account here. Her full letter is on her blog, and it is a serious allegation that has not been proven.
Connor learned of the letter and responded on Twitter. He said he had just stepped off a plane to hear about it and that he felt his name was being damaged. He denied the allegation, and said he believed the claims were false. He also acknowledged that he and the woman knew each other. In a follow up tweet, he said he had honesty on his side and was not worried about what people say about him.
It is not clear from the letter or from Connor’s response whether any legal case was filed or how one may have ended. Baller Alert has not independently confirmed either side’s account. We will update this story if either side shares more.
