One of the women seen in a disturbing Instagram Live video has been identified as the fiancee of the man arrested in the case, according to reports.
Authorities say Raymond, 29, was arrested in California after an eight hour standoff. He is accused in the deaths of his fiancee Savannah, 26, who was the mother of his four year old son. A second victim seen in the video, a 15 year old girl, has not been publicly identified. Raymond is the brother of up and coming rapper Uzzy Marcus.
Savannah’s mother confirmed her daughter’s death on Facebook. “My heart is heavy I’m so sad to say I believe one of those girls that were killed is my baby girl,” she wrote. She also confirmed the couple had announced their engagement this month.
Savannah grew up in Georgia and had recently lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is unclear when she traveled to California or why.
According to police, officers in Vacaville responded around 12:42 a.m. Saturday to a welfare check at an apartment complex after a woman reported an armed man inside an apartment. She told police the man had livestreamed himself with a gun beside two women who appeared motionless on the floor. Later in the stream, the man said police were outside.
Raymond is facing two counts of murder and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond. He is accused, and a court has not determined guilt.
