Caroline Kain

A racist white woman in Louisiana has been arrested for allegedly sending a slew of racist and threatening emails to a local TV station.

Caroline Kain was apprehended on Friday by the New Orleans Police Department. According to police, the 57-year-old woman sent 81 emails to the station targeting one on-air news anchor. In those emails that she sent from May 5th to May 11th, Kain used the N-word several times and accused the unidentified journalist of having committed crimes that were “punishable by death.” She sent the emails to a public email address that was forwarded to several staff members.

The station targeted by Kain, which has not been identified, has added extra security for all staff members.

Kain was arrested on Friday and has been charged with cyberstalking. A first offense of cyberstalking in Louisiana carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison and a $2,000 fine. Repeat offenses can carry up to five years in prison. Her first court appearance was on May 22nd, when her bond was set at $2,500.
