Meek Mill scored a big victory in the courtroom after being cleared in a wrongful death lawsuit involving a man who was killed at his 2016 concert.

In December 2016, Meek Mill performed in concert at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut. Just after the concert ended, a shooting ensued in the parking lot, leaving two people injured and two more people dead.

Three out of those four families pursued lawsuits against Meek Mill, Live Nation, and Oakdale Theatre in 2017.

Dylan Thomas’, who sustained an injury to the leg, case was dropped in 2019. The families of the deceased, Jaquan Graves and Travis Ward’s lawsuits were dismissed January 13th and January 22nd, respectively.

Pitchfork confirms in court records and sources close with Meek the validity of the dismissals in an article.

Meanwhile, Meek is preparing to perform in a special tribute to Nipsey Hussle at this year’s Grammy Awards (Jan. 26th). Meek is also nominated for ‘Best Rap Album.’

During the entire process of the lawsuits, Meek has denied any accusations connecting him to the 2016 shooting, also stating that it was impossible to have foreseen or control the events that took place.
