Jodi Kavney, the mother of X’s half brother, Corey Pack, has filed a lawsuit against X’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, on Pack’s behalf.
Pack’s mother accuses Bernard of transferring over $11 million in assets that were supposed to be his. A demand letter was sent to Bernard’s legal representative in the court filing. It details that $11,585,048.50 was taken from Pack unlawfully. The $50 million that was left behind by X was supposed to be handled by his mother through a trust, which lists Pack as 1 of 3 beneficiaries. 50% to Cleopatra, 25% to X’s brother Aiden Kerr, and the remaining 25% to Pack.
“Bernard breached her fiduciary duties, engaged in self-dealing, and willfully misappropriated Estate and Trust assets, which she continues to misappropriate, while disregarding express obligations imposed upon her as Trustee, failing to follow the terms of the Trust, failing to act for the benefit of Corey as beneficiary, and failing to treat all beneficiaries impartially,” the document reads.
Even though the lawsuit is a claim for $11 million, the filing also includes a claim for $34 million for trust litigation. The lawsuit may increase to this amount if the mother of X’s half brother can prove that these actions were done intentionally.
Bernard’s Attorney, Michael Simon, has released a statement with TMZ stating, “The lawsuit filed by XXXTENTACION’s half-brother, Corey Pack, against XXXTENTACION’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, is completely without merit. Contrary to the allegations of the complaint, a court has already determined that Corey Pack is entitled to nothing from XXXTENTACION’s estate or trust.”
In a recent post to Instagram, Bernard responds to the accusations. In the post, she states she has paid for Corey’s living expenses, purchased him a car, provided a mortgage-free home to Corey and Jodi, and has paid the current year’s real estate taxes.
The statement continues that they are confident that the court will conclude that Corey Pack is not entitled to XXXTENTACION’s estate or trust for a second time.
