Xzibit is asking for a Los Angeles court to deny his estranged wife’s request for spousal support amid their messy divorce.
TMZ reports that the Pimp My Ride star is asking to deny Krista Joiner’s request, claiming she’s still living in their $3 million home. In addition, she has moved in her boyfriend and his kids.
X said Joiner’s boyfriend has been flaunting the home on social media. He apparently filmed a pilot for a show in the house. He also shared posts showing himself removing the rapper’s recording plaques and artwork.
Adding insult to injury, he asked Joiner to sell the house. They’ve had to take out short-term loans to make the mortgage payments. He said she has only agreed to sell now that the market has slowed.
The “Paparazzi” rapper said he’s got virtually no money coming in, while he believes Joiner is doing just fine. She reportedly earns around $175,000 a year.
As for Xzibit, court documents state he’s ”struggling to make ends meet at the same time trying to uphold being a public figure, pay my own expenses and provide for my son.” He hasn’t worked in Hollywood since 2019, isn’t making any more from his cannabis ventures, and the COVID-19 pandemic wiped out the potential for him to bring money in from performances.
In addition to his money woes, he is also accusing Joiner of leasing a 2021 Bentley under his business, Xzibit Inc. She does not work as an exec for the corporation.
Joiner allegedly forged Xzibit’s name on a check for the down payment. When he found out, he asked her to return the car, but she hid it for eight months until it was repossessed.
Joiner filed for divorce shortly after the car was taken.
