Yara Shahidi

Yara Shahidi has added a new title to her list, including executive producer and lead actress of Grown-ish. She is now the Global Brand Ambassador for Dior.

The Harvard University graduate will work alongside the high-end luxury brand to bring attention to the brand’s designs and creations of Dior’s Women’s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, Essence reported.

The actress will also work alongside Creative and Image Director of Makeup, Peter Philips.

Shahidi is staying busy, and her accomplishments aren’t going unnoticed. She was recently honored by Essence’s Black Woman In Hollywood, and this past May, she announced her second collaboration with Adidas, Yara x Shahidi, which includes trendy tracksuits and stylish footwear.

She continues to be motivated in the entertainment industry and outside it. She worked extensively with Forever President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, which inspired her to launch Eighteen x 18 in 2016, now called WeVoteNext, to shine a light on Gen Z and BIPOC inclusion in the political process.

Black Excellence continues.
