Ye is stepping back into the spotlight with a major Los Angeles performance on the calendar.
According to Variety, the artist formerly known as Kanye West has announced a concert at SoFi Stadium scheduled for April 3, marking his first major show in the United States in several years. A message sent to fans Monday morning described the event as his “only performance in Los Angeles.”
Fans were directed to Ye’s website to pre-register for the show by pre-saving his upcoming album, “Bully.” According to the site, early registration could come with an unexpected perk.
“A few lucky pre-registrants will be selected to receive free tickets,” the website states.
Pre-sale tickets for the concert are expected to become available on Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time. General ticket sales are scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
Live performances from Ye in the United States have been relatively scarce in recent years. The rapper has continued to appear on international stages, performing in Mexico City earlier this year while also holding several shows in South Korea and China dating back to 2024.
His last appearance at SoFi Stadium took place during Rolling Loud in 2024 alongside Ty Dolla Sign. That event served largely as a listening party for their collaborative album “Vultures 1” rather than a traditional concert set.
The newly announced Los Angeles show comes months after Ye addressed past controversies in a full-page apology letter published in The Wall Street Journal. In the statement, he acknowledged the harm caused by antisemitic remarks he previously made on social media and in interviews.
“It does not excuse what I did, though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people,” Ye wrote.
He also addressed the Black community in the same letter, writing, “I am so sorry to have let you down.”
The SoFi Stadium performance arrives as Ye prepares to release his upcoming album “Bully,” which is currently scheduled to drop on March 27 after experiencing multiple delays.
