On Tuesday, rapper YFN Lucci pleaded guilty to violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act in Fulton County, Georgia, according to WSB-TV.

In May 2021, the rapper, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, was indicted, along with a dozen other suspects, in a 75-page, 105-count racketeering case that centered on factions within the Bloods street gang.

Lucci initially faced felony counts, including felony murder, which carried a maximum penalty of life without parole.

Prosecutors proposed a 20-year sentence, with ten years to be served. As part of the plea deal, Lucci would receive credit for time served, which began when he surrendered in January 2021.  He will remain in jail for three and a half months and then be released to serve the remainder of his sentence on probation.

The news outlet stated Lucci apologized to a victim’s family and his own in court before the sentencing.

In January 2021, the YFN Lucci turned himself in after authorities claimed he was involved in the fatal shooting of 28-year-old James Adams. Four months later, he was indicted in a 75-page, 105-count racketeering indictment focused on factions within the Bloods street gang.
