Rick Ross Says Hermès Left Him Hanging Over $12K Sandals, And He Is Not the Only One With Complaints

Rick Ross turned a luxury shopping headache into a public callout after claiming a pair of pricey crocodile sandals he ordered from Hermès never showed up. Ross took his complaint directly to a Hermès location in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood after waiting more than a year for the footwear, which he said cost about $12,000.

The Rick Ross Hermès dispute quickly became bigger than a missing pair of sandals. Ross documented his visit on camera and said he had already paid for the crocodile sandals but still had not received them. Rather than asking the luxury house to keep working on the order, Ross made it clear he wanted his money returned.

Ross said, “Ricky Rozay bought crocodile sandals over a year ago from Hermès, and I still haven’t received them. Crocodile sandals are what, $12K?,” said Ross. “Hermès, I got my eye on you. This ain’t the way to go, baby […] Hermès. Rozay just want a refund, Hermès. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Is Hermès doing this?”

The complaint did not stay between the rapper and the store for long. The clip circulated across social media and was reposted by Akademiks, who added, “Hermès yall get up w Ricky Rozay. Yall can’t finesse the bauce.” The public attention put an even brighter spotlight on Ross’s request for his money back.

That pressure appears to have produced a result. Hermès later issued Ross a refund, citing a subsequent Instagram video. The report did not detail why the sandals had remained undelivered for more than a year or whether the company offered Ross an explanation.

The Rick Ross Hermès situation also lands while the luxury house continues facing broader questions about how it manages access to some of its most coveted products. A January 2026 investigation from Glitz reported that some Hermès customers had grown frustrated with the tightly controlled process surrounding access to iconic handbags. The outlet described customers as feeling increasingly alienated by the company’s sales practices surrounding highly sought-after items such as Birkin and Kelly bags.

Hermès has also faced a legal challenge over Birkin sales. According to Reuters, a federal judge dismissed a class action case in September 2025 from shoppers who alleged Hermès improperly tied access to Birkin bags to purchases of other products. Reuters reported that the judge dismissed the case with prejudice. The dispute did not end there, however. In February 2026, Reuters reported that the shoppers asked the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to revive the case, arguing that the lower court used the wrong legal standard.

For Ross, the immediate issue appears resolved.
