Those old quarters you just toss aside or use for daily change could get you some racks. But, there are specific quarters that are worth $2,000. A video posted by CoinHub on TikTok detailed the characteristics of the 2004 quarters that are valuable.
The quarter that could make you some bank is a Wisconsin state quarter, and it features a cow, a wheel of cheese and, on the tail side, an ear of corn. But the quarter’s value comes from the leaf that’s on the corn. There’s an error on the leaf, which is a small mark below the leaf that the collectors named a “high extra leaf.”
The error was later corrected on newer versions of the quarter.
According to The U.S. Sun, a record price for one of the quarters is now $2,530.
