Young Thug was transported to the hospital on Thursday afternoon after experiencing illness just before the start of court proceedings. He was due to attend jury selection in the RICO case involving him and several of his alleged Atlanta associates.

The rapper’s attorney, Keith Adams, said Young Thug -real name Jeffery Williams- “had some difficulty of a similar sort” recently in the Cobb County Jail, where he’s been held since getting arrested last May.

“I’m concerned about his well-being, his condition,” Adams told Judge Ural Glanville.

Young Thug’s condition remains unknown.
Just last month, lawyers for the rapper made a fourth attempt at securing a bond. Attorney Brian Steel says Williams “has been languishing in the County Jail” and is unable to stay healthy while relying on food with “zero health benefits,” like chocolate and chips.
He also claims Thug is “sleep deprived, mandated to wake up on court days between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. and not having more than five hours of sleep per night.”
“By the end of the week, Mr. Williams is fighting to pay attention to the goings on in his case.”

Young Thug was denied bond during that hearing.
