Can you believe the nerve of YouTube TV? They’re raising their prices yet again by a whopping $8 per month – a 12.3% increase!  And what do they have to say for themselves?  Apparently, it’s because “content costs have risen,” and they’re “investing in their quality of service.”

This isn’t the first time they’ve hiked their prices either. Just last year, they increased their base plan from $50 to $64.99 per month.  And now, they’re charging customers $72.99 per month for their service.  They claim that the price increase will still include more than 100 channels, a cloud-based DVR with unlimited storage, and up to six accounts per household.

They’re offering a lower price for their 4K Plus add-on, but who cares?  Customers shouldn’t have to pay extra just to get a decent viewing experience.  And let’s not forget that those who have a discounted price will still eventually have to pay the standard price.

YouTube TV claims they’re committed to offering a premium way to stream TV, but at what cost?

Who else is ready to go back to cable?

Nobody, basic cable packages are still more expensive and offer less. Networks charge carriage fees to carry thier stations. So yeah if the carriage fees go up the prices go up or the channel gets dropped.
