Yung Miami recently revealed that she is no longer signed to Quality Control Music, the label that helped launch her career.

City Girls signed with Quality Control in 2017, and their partnership played a key role in their rise to fame with hits like “Act Up” and “Twerkulator.” However, during a recent conversation on “Club Shay Shay,” Yung Miami shared that the pressure from the label became overwhelming.

“I think, I just think as an artist…we get in our head,” she explained, agreeing that following her group’s debut album, “Girl Code,” the label wanted more.

“They expect so much more, you understand? Like it becomes so much pressure…people really strip you away from your personality,” she told host Shannon Sharpe.

Yung Miami previously accused Quality Control of refusing to release her music, adding to her frustrations. This seemingly coincided with JT’s solo endeavors. The combination of creative control struggles and the concern to meet expectations ultimately led her to part ways with the label.

Despite the challenges, Yung Miami is now making her own lane in the business world. While her departure from Quality Control marks a new chapter, her journey in the entertainment industry is far from over, as she continues to push her Resha Roulette card game.
