Anthony Edwards has notched a win in his ongoing child support case with Ayesha Howard, and the Georgia ruling closes one chapter in a much bigger family story for the Minnesota Timberwolves star. A judge ordered Edwards to pay $3,222 a month in child support for his one year old daughter, Aubri Summer, whom he shares with Howard.
The ruling landed after more than a year of legal back and forth between Anthony Edwards and Howard, who welcomed Aubri in October 2024. Per TMZ, the judge noted that Howard did not appear at trial and offered no evidence to support her claims, a detail that likely worked in his favor when the final numbers were set. Howard’s monthly income was listed as zero in the filing, while Edwards signed a five year contract extension with the Timberwolves in 2023 worth more than two hundred million dollars.
Money had already been changing hands well before this ruling. Edwards has been paying child support since January 2025, starting with an initial payment of twenty thousand dollars followed by five thousand dollars a month leading up to trial. That adds up to a reported one hundred ten thousand dollars paid so far, a number that will only grow now that the monthly amount is locked in going forward.
Much of the fight actually had nothing to do with dollar amounts and everything to do with which state got to decide them. Howard filed her case in California, while Edwards filed his in Georgia. Howard argued Edwards had real ties to California through business dealings that should give the state jurisdiction. The influencer claimed in her filing that Edwards had a business LLC and trademarks registered in California along with a bank account in Beverly Hills, and accused him of hiding those assets to dodge a bigger payout. A California judge ultimately ruled it lacked jurisdiction, clearing the way for the Georgia court to set the terms Anthony Edwards wanted all along.
The paternity side of the story carries its own weight. Edwards stated in a written declaration, “I am not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri,” making clear the only issue left for the court to settle was financial. Howard has pushed back publicly on the backlash that followed, claiming she is not the “predator” some fans have painted her as since their history became public.
Edwards’ family situation stretches well beyond his fight with Howard, and this Georgia ruling is really just one piece of a much larger picture. The Timberwolves guard is reportedly the father of four children with four different women, and Aubri is only the most recently resolved of those situations.
His first child arrived in September 2023 with beauty influencer Daja Carlyle, a daughter named Aris Ariel Carlyle. Edwards had been voluntarily paying Carlyle five thousand dollars a month in temporary support before asking the court to formally set the number at $3,222 based on her reported income. The case grew tense enough that Edwards accused Carlyle of harassing people in his circle, though both sides reached a confidential settlement in September 2024 rather than let it go to trial.
That same October, another woman known publicly as Ally D, identified in later filings as Alexandria Desroches, gave birth to a son, Amir, whom she also had with Anthony Edwards. That case ended in a private agreement covering custody, paternity, and support before reaching a courtroom. It resurfaced this year when Desroches got involved in the Howard case directly. Desroches submitted a declaration backing Howard’s push for California jurisdiction, stating that Edwards had been sending her voluntary monthly payments through a bank account based in Beverly Hills, the same detail Howard used to argue he had real ties to the state.
The one relationship in Anthony Edwards’ family life that has not turned into a courtroom fight is with Shannon Jackson, his longtime girlfriend and the mother of his daughter Aislynn, born in March 2024. Edwards left a Timberwolves game at halftime to be at Aislynn’s birth and has remained visibly involved in her life since, sharing her on his own social media rather than fighting over her in court.
Four children, four mothers, and now four separate legal or financial arrangements either settled or well underway. Anthony Edwards is only twenty three years old and already managing a family situation that looks more like a court docket than a household, and this latest Georgia ruling suggests he intends to keep winning those battles in the courtroom the same way he does on it.
