Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards is facing renewed attention over his off-court legal matters after new court documents reportedly disclosed a sharp financial divide in one of his child support disputes.
Court Records Show Seven-Figure Monthly Income
According to TMZ, newly obtained filings state that Edwards earns approximately $3,364,911 in gross monthly income, while Alexandria Desroches, the mother of one of his children, earns about $1,016 per month. The documents also state that Edwards currently pays Desroches about $12,500 per month in child support.
TMZ reported that Edwards and Desroches share a child born in October 2023. The filing adds another layer to the NBA star’s expanding paternity and child support matters, which have played out across multiple court cases while Edwards continues his career with the Timberwolves.
Desroches Case Adds To Existing Legal Battles
Edwards’ case involving Desroches surfaced while he was already involved in a separate dispute with Ayesha Howard, who shares daughter Aubri’ Summers with him. Us Weekly previously reported that Howard filed court documents in March 2025 describing herself as a “fit and loving mother” while seeking sole legal and physical custody of the child.
Page Six later reported that Edwards agreed to give Howard full temporary legal and physical custody of Aubri’ as the parties continued addressing child support obligations. Edwards had filed a paternity and child support case in Georgia before Howard pursued related claims in California.
Howard Disputes Online Rumors
The legal fight also sparked viral claims that Edwards had paid Howard more than $1 million upfront in child support. Howard denied that report. In April 2026, People reported that Howard filed an affidavit accusing Edwards of “intentionally” concealing California-based assets to avoid child support obligations. Edwards has not publicly commented on those allegations, and his representatives did not immediately respond to People’s request for comment at the time.
A Public Star With Private Court Pressure
Edwards signed a five-year contract extension in 2023 worth up to $260 million, a figure TMZ also cited in its report. As the legal filings continue, the public record now centers on paternity, jurisdiction, custody, and support obligations involving multiple children and separate court proceedings.
