2 Chainz is asking a judge to throw out a lawsuit over his Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead, and he is claiming the man who filed it tried to pressure him into settling, according to TMZ.
Months earlier, Joshua of Highline Holdings Group sued the rapper for $18,317 plus interest over an outstanding balance tied to the car. In new court filings reported by TMZ, 2 Chainz says Joshua tried to push him into paying by pretending to be someone else.
According to the filing, 2 Chainz received texts in December from an unknown number claiming to be his lawyer, urging him to settle the case. The rapper says he recognized that the messages came from the auto broker based on old text messages the two had shared.
2 Chainz also claims he later received messages from someone pretending to be Highline’s lawyer, saying a default judgment had been granted and a lien had been placed on his car. He says he looked into it and confirmed that neither lawyer had actually contacted him, which led him to believe the messages were meant to scare him into paying.
