After months of speculation, Dr. Dre’s new relationship is no longer just paparazzi gossip. Reality star and luxury real estate agent Michelle Saniei has confirmed she’s spending time with the legendary producer, offering the first public glimpse into a romance the pair have largely kept out of the spotlight.
“We’re spending time together, and we love being in each other’s company,” Saniei told PEOPLE, confirming what fans suspected after the two were photographed holding hands following a dinner date at Nobu Malibu in April.
Although she acknowledged their relationship, Saniei made it clear they’re not looking to put their romance on display.
“For now we’re just keeping everything super private. I’m just living my life,” she added.
The couple met through a mutual friend and have quietly gotten to know each other away from the cameras. Their relationship first drew public attention after photos surfaced of the pair leaving Nobu Malibu hand in hand, marking one of Dr. Dre’s first public romances since his divorce.
For Saniei, 37, the relationship comes after a period of major life changes. “The Valley” star finalized her divorce from Jesse Lally in 2025 after separating in 2024. The former couple share a six-year-old daughter, Isabella. Before being linked to Dr. Dre, Saniei was briefly connected to Aaron Nosler. Outside of reality television, she works as a luxury real estate agent in Los Angeles.
For Dr. Dre, the relationship marks another chapter following his highly publicized split from Nicole Young. The pair married in 1996 before Nicole filed for divorce in 2020. Their divorce was finalized in 2021, with Dre agreeing to a reported $100 million settlement.
Since then, the Grammy-winning producer has largely kept his personal life out of the headlines, making his recent appearances with Saniei especially notable.
Dr. Dre’s relationship history has often attracted public attention beyond his marriage. He previously dated singer Michel’le, with whom he shares a son, and has children from several previous relationships. Over the years, Dre has also faced allegations of violence from former partners and journalist Dee Barnes. He publicly addressed his past in a 2015 statement to The New York Times, saying, “Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did. I’ve been married for 19 years and every day I’m working to be a better man for my family, seeking guidance along the way. I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”
While neither Dre nor Saniei appears eager to turn their relationship into a public spectacle, Saniei’s comments leave little doubt that they’re enjoying this new chapter together, even if they plan to experience it mostly out of view.
