Diddy Gets 24 Days Cut From Projected Prison Time Following Pennsylvania Move

The Diddy release date has moved up by 24 days, with Sean “Diddy” Combs now projected to leave federal prison on February 6, 2028. The latest change comes weeks after the Bad Boy Records founder was transferred to a Pennsylvania correctional facility following reports of alleged prison misconduct and an injury that required medical attention.

According to Page Six, the 56-year-old music mogul was previously expected to remain incarcerated until March 2, 2028. Federal officials have not publicly explained why his projected release was moved forward, and there is no confirmation that his recent prison transfer played a role in the adjustment.

Combs is currently housed at FCI Allenwood Low, a low-security federal correctional institution in Pennsylvania. He was relocated there in October after serving part of his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the transfer but declined to discuss the circumstances behind the move, citing privacy and security considerations.

The latest Diddy release date update follows several changes to his expected time behind bars. In September, federal records showed that Combs could be released as early as January 21, 2028. However, his projected release was subsequently pushed back to March 2, a change that coincided with reports about his conduct inside Fort Dix.

Those reports raised questions about the conditions of Combs’ incarceration.

In September, NBC News published an investigation featuring accounts from four men who claimed they had been incarcerated in the same prison unit as the entertainment executive. The individuals alleged that Combs received preferential treatment, including having other inmates prepare meals, clean his living area, handle his laundry, and provide massages.

The investigation also included allegations that Combs had access to alcohol and unauthorized electronic devices, including a cellphone. NBC reported obtaining photographs and videos connected to the alleged activity.

Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, disputed the characterization of his prison experience and maintained that the rapper was serving his sentence within prison rules.

Following the investigation, Combs was placed in a special housing unit, according to The Associated Press. The outlet also reported that he lost 41 days of good-conduct credit, a disciplinary penalty that can affect an inmate’s projected release.

However, officials have not confirmed whether any restored credits, updated calculations, or other administrative decisions explain the latest Diddy release date change.

Combs also made headlines after receiving medical treatment for a head injury while incarcerated at Fort Dix.

Page Six reported that the injury occurred when the rapper struck his head on a bunk bed. TMZ presented a different account, alleging that Combs had been involved in a physical confrontation with Christopher “Dudus” Coke, a Jamaican crime figure serving a federal prison sentence.

The alleged altercation reportedly followed tensions involving inmates after publicity surrounding claims of contraband and special privileges at the facility.

However, the reported fight remains disputed.

When asked about the allegations, a representative for Combs told Page Six there was “no way of independently verifying” the alleged confrontation.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons directly rejected the fight report, describing the allegation as “false and did not happen.”

The agency has not released a detailed public explanation of Combs’ injury.

Meanwhile, the legal case responsible for Combs’ incarceration remains active through the appeals process.

In July 2025, a federal jury convicted the former music executive on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The jury acquitted him of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges presented during his federal trial.

In October 2025, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Combs to 50 months in federal prison. The sentence also included five years of supervised release and a $500,000 fine.

Combs has been in federal custody since his September 2024 arrest, meaning the time he spent incarcerated before sentencing is relevant to calculating his expected release.

His legal team is appealing both the conviction and sentence. Attorneys have argued that the punishment was excessive and challenged aspects of the prosecution’s case. The Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments in April 2026, but no final ruling had been announced in the latest reporting.

A successful appeal could potentially affect Combs’ sentence independently of any changes made by prison administrators.
