The 50 Cent Lil Kim beef picked up another chapter Friday afternoon when Fif posted a screengrab of the Queen Bee to Instagram and asked whether anybody could fix her nose. The image is a still pulled from a video, Kim leaning back with wet hair and her diamond B chain sitting heavy on her chest, and the caption did the rest of the work.
None of this is new territory. Their history goes back to 2003, when Kim put him on “Magic Stick” and the record turned into one of the biggest songs either of them had that year. The good will lasted about five minutes. In a Hot 97 freestyle that same year, Fif claimed he was the one who wrote the record and handed her the hit, said he refused to shoot the video for it, and dismissed her reaction to all of it.
The Leprechaun post is the one people still bring up. In 2021 he shared a video of Kim performing that morphed into a scene from the horror movie, deleted it, then put it right back up with a caption saying he just thought it was funny. Kim did not sit on that one. She told him publicly to let it go and said the real issue was a dinner date she had turned down, that he had a beautiful girlfriend and she had a loving husband and he needed to move on. Her partner Mr. Papers jumped in the comments to defend her, she thanked him for it, and then she used the moment to plug her book, which is honestly the most veteran move in the whole exchange.
He came back around again last year, reposting a clip of somebody criticizing a photo of Kim and adding that he had run the picture through AI to try to clean it up. Most of those posts are gone now.
Fif explained the deleting himself back in March. He said he takes posts down because he does not want the person’s face sitting on his page, and in the same run he declared that he is the algorithm and anybody going against him would feel it. He has been open for years that the trolling is not personal so much as it is engagement strategy, telling Hot 97 that it is his version of radio and that he is having fun with it. Whether that reads as fun depends a lot on whether you are the one in the screengrab.
Kim has handled him a few different ways over the years. Sometimes she answers with receipts, sometimes she lets her people speak, and sometimes she says nothing at all and keeps working.
As of Friday evening she had not posted anything in response.
