50 Cent is back to doing what he does best, and that’s trolling and shutting down anyone trying to bait him into a battle.
While appearing on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, the Atlanta rapper made it be known that he wanted to go up against the G-Unit mogul, reigniting a challenge he has been pushing for years. T.I. didn’t hold back on his confidence during the interview, telling the hosts, “I said who I wanted. I said I wanted 50,” he revealed. “He don’t want no smoke, though. I called my man out, he don’t want no smoke. He ducking smoke. It’s cool.”
But Fif wasn’t having it, and he took to Instagram to share two posts aimed directly at T.I., making it clear that he isn’t interested in the “smoke” T.I. is offering. In his first response, 50 questioned the support system behind the King of the South, saying, “I know Atlanta pick and choose who they support, but yall gotta do better. LOL keep my name out ya mouth !” 50 Cent’s refusal wasn’t just a simple “no,” but a full dismissal of the idea that they belong on the same stage for a hits competition.

The pettiness reached a peak in the next post, which featured an old clip of T.I. accompanied by a caption that suggested a new type of viral trend. 50 Cent wrote, “No, no, i don’t like it. No verses. let’s do (The stay away challenge) and stay away from me. LOL.”

This isn’t the first time T.I. has called out 50 Cent for a Verzuz battle, having previously made attempts once in 2020 and then again in 2021. Despite the persistence from the Atlanta side, it’s clear that 50 has other plans and the Verzuz isn’t one of them, leaving fans to wonder if this match-up will ever actually see the light of day.
