Tierra Davis walked into the “Love Island USA” villa with confidence, but now the Casa Amor bombshell is facing attention for something that allegedly happened long before cameras followed her to Fiji.
According to TMZ, the “Love Island USA” Season 8 contestant was named in a 2018 restraining order filing involving a woman named Shayla Woodard, who claimed Tierra physically assaulted her and threatened to shoot her when the two were teenagers. The outlet reported that it obtained the restraining order documents, which were filed years before Tierra became known to reality TV fans as “Titi.”
Shayla was 16 years old at the time and Tierra was 17. Shayla reportedly claimed in the court documents that Tierra attacked her and made the alleged gun threat because of jealousy connected to Tierra’s ex boyfriend. Shayla said she did not know Tierra personally, but believed the tension stemmed from her knowing Tierra’s former boyfriend.
It was also reported that Shayla claimed she contacted police, but alleged the harassment continued afterward. She later asked the court for protection that would have required Tierra to stop contacting her and stay away from both Shayla and her family. A temporary restraining order was granted, but the case was later dismissed in December.
Although the allegations are serious, the reported case did not appear to move forward after the dismissal. Sources claim Shayla only learned Tierra was on “Love Island” this week and has no bad feelings toward her today. According to the outlet, Shayla reportedly wishes Tierra well and believes people can grow and change.
The resurfaced allegations come as Tierra is becoming one of the more talked about new faces from “Love Island USA” Season 8. Peacock identifies her as Tierra “Titi” Davis, a 25-year-old Inglewood native who works as a nanny, model, and dancer. The network says she has appeared in runway shows, music videos, and YouTube series before joining the villa.
Tierra entered the show through Casa Amor, the infamous “Love Island” twist where new bombshells are brought in to test existing couples. Peacock described her arrival as part of a heated stretch of the season and noted that she quickly formed a connection with KC Chapman, which led KC to leave Aniya and created emotional fallout in the main villa.
Fans also latched onto Tierra’s viral introduction, especially after she declared, “You can pipe down, I’m Titi!” The moment helped her stand out in a crowded season where Casa Amor has already delivered messy recouplings, hurt feelings, and plenty of social media debate.
Before “Love Island USA,” Tierra had already been building a public facing career. She walked in Los Angeles Swim Week in 2022 and 2024 and appeared in several music videos, including Karol G’s “WATATI” from the “Barbie” album, DDG’s “Love Myself” featuring Kevin Gates, and Metro Boomin’s “Too Many Nights.”
This latest headline also arrives during a season where off screen controversies have already become part of the conversation. Earlier this month, Alannah Keyser left Love Island USA after a resurfaced video appeared to show her using a racial slur while singing along to a song. Peacock confirmed to People that episode 20 would be her last episode of Season 8.
People also reported that another Season 8 contestant, Vasana Montgomery, was removed from the cast before entering the villa after videos resurfaced that appeared to show her using the N word. The outlet noted that “Love Island USA” has faced similar controversies in past seasons as viewers continue digging into contestants’ old videos and online histories once they become part of the show.
That is why Tierra’s situation is catching so much attention now. Reality TV fans do not just watch what happens inside the villa anymore. They also track social media pages, old clips, past allegations, and court filings, especially when a contestant starts gaining screen time. In Tierra’s case, the conversation is even more sensitive because the TMZ report involves allegations from when both women were minors and the restraining order matter was dismissed.
As of now, the TMZ report does not say Tierra has publicly responded to the allegations. Peacock has continued promoting Tierra in its Season 8 coverage, including a dedicated profile about her Casa Amor arrival and her connection with KC.
