Jane Doe previously worked as Soulja Boy’s assistant before the two entered a nearly two-year relationship, and a Santa Monica civil jury later found the rapper legally liable for assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The Associated Press reported that jurors awarded her about $4 million in compensatory damages, plus another $250,000 in punitive damages.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Soulja Boy’s net worth is estimated at $2 million, and the site lists him as a rapper, record producer, actor and entrepreneur, while also noting his own testimony that he earns money through shows, merchandise sales and business ventures. Soulja Boy, whose legal name is DeAndre Cortez Way, has denied wrongdoing. His attorney Rickey Ivie said after the verdict that the defense maintains “the evidence does not support the verdict” and that Way planned to pursue post-trial remedies.
Still, Jane Doe’s latest move puts his catalog income in the spotlight.
