Soulja Boy’s Ex Says He’s Refusing To Cough Up Judgment Money, Now He’s Accruing Over $1,100 A Day In Interest

Soulja Boy’s legal drama is no longer just about a courtroom loss. His ex-girlfriend, identified in court as Jane Doe, is now trying to turn Soulja Boy residuals into real money by selling his rights to collect music payments from Broadcast Music, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The filing reportedly says the rights would be sold to the highest bidder unless Soulja objects

Jane Doe previously worked as Soulja Boy’s assistant before the two entered a nearly two-year relationship, and a Santa Monica civil jury later found the rapper legally liable for assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The Associated Press reported that jurors awarded her about $4 million in compensatory damages, plus another $250,000 in punitive damages.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Soulja Boy’s net worth is estimated at $2 million, and the site lists him as a rapper, record producer, actor and entrepreneur, while also noting his own testimony that he earns money through shows, merchandise sales and business ventures. That makes Jane Doe’s push for his residual checks hit even harder, because the case is now circling one of the income lanes tied directly to his music career.

Soulja Boy, whose legal name is DeAndre Cortez Way, has denied wrongdoing. His attorney Rickey Ivie said after the verdict that the defense maintains “the evidence does not support the verdict” and that Way planned to pursue post-trial remedies.

Still, Jane Doe’s latest move puts his catalog income in the spotlight. For an artist whose brand was built on internet-first hustle and the massive viral run of “Crank That,” the irony is hard to miss. The same music machine that helped make him famous could now become part of someone else’s collection strategy.

This also is not the first time money tied to music has surfaced around Soulja’s personal life. Just days ago, Blueface’s ASCAP and BMI royalties were ordered redirected to Jackilyn Martinez, the mother of Soulja Boy’s son, to help satisfy a $123,000 defamation judgment she won against Blueface. Martinez and Soulja Boy welcomed their first child together in 2022.

Then there is Kayla Myers, another woman connected to Soulja Boy’s legal history. The Los Angeles Times reported in 2023 that a judge approved Myers’ request to seize Soulja Boy’s property, including cash and exotic cars, after he was ordered to pay $471,800 in damages in a separate assault case.

So, the pattern is bigger than one headline. From Kayla Myers seeking property, to Jackilyn Martinez being tied to redirected royalties in her Blueface case, to Jane Doe now aiming at Soulja Boy’s residuals, the legal fallout around him has moved past verdicts and straight into asset recovery. The question now is whether Soulja fights the sale, pays the judgment another way, or watches part of his music money become the next thing dragged into court.
